Welcome to Reclaimed Arts!

This is a space that was developed during Susana Meza‘s Yale University LET(s)LEAD fellowship (2021-202).

We are actively working on a series of social and community arts projects ignited by collaboration, community building, and community care.

We are in the early stages of Your Powerful Voice in the Distance, a unique bilingual writing circle made in collaboration with artists from the Global South, and have an open and ongoing call for donations of unused and gently used art supplies that we will turn into activity kits for survivors of gender-based violence.

Our completed projects are: the curation of Emily Hood‘s debut show in April of 2022 at The Show Gallery (Toronto) and Mail Art for Seniors, which are parcels of one-of-a-kind art bundles made by local artists and community members that we delivered in the Summer of 2022 to seniors with lived experiences of mental health and addiction at CAMH (Toronto)

We work from an equity-seeking, anti-sanist, dis/ability justice, anti-racist, anti-oppressive, sex-positive, and decolonizing framework.
